Kroger is seeking a Courtesy Clerk/Grocery Bagger at our Fresno, CA store. The role focuses on bagging groceries at checkout, helping customers load bags, and maintaining clean, safe store conditions.

Qualifications

• Retail experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Bag groceries at checkout for customers.
• Aim for at least five items per bag and ensure items aren’t damaged.
• Bag items using appropriate bags (reusable, plastic, paper).
• Assist customers with loading bags into their car.
• Perform basic shelf conditioning and inform customers of specials.
• Return merchandise to shelves and gather bascarts.
• Clean spills, pick up trash inside store and in parking lot.
• Handle and arrange seasonal merchandise and know store layout for price checks.
• Follow safety procedures and report unsafe conditions.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and conduct preventive equipment inspections.
• Create a welcoming environment and answer questions about products.
• Follow all laws and company guidelines, manage conflict calmly.
