Kroger in Bloomington, IN is seeking a Courtesy Clerk/Grocery Bagger to provide outstanding customer service, bag groceries, and help customers load bags into their car. You will follow bagging best practices, keep the store clean, and reinforce safety procedures.

This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, follow directions, and be attentive to product location, shelf maintenance, and price checks.

Qualifications

• Retail Experience is preferred but not necessary

Responsibilities

• Bag groceries at checkout for customers.
• Follow best practices for bagging items in various bag types.
• Assist in removing merchandise from bottom of bascart for checkout.
• Offer to help customers with loading bags into their car.
• Perform basic shelf conditioning.
• Inform customers of grocery specials.
• Return merchandise to store shelves.
• Gather bascarts and return them to designated areas.
• Clean spills and collect trash inside store and parking lot.
• Clean all areas inside and outside store.
• Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise.
• Understand store layout and locate products; conduct price checks for cashiers.
• Reinforce safety programs and report unsafe conditions to management.
• Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Inspect equipment and report items needing repair.
• Create an environment where customers feel welcome and appreciated.
