Job summary

Kroger in Bloomington, IL is seeking a Courtesy Clerk/Grocery Bagger to create an outstanding customer experience at checkout. You will bag groceries, assist customers, and help load bags into vehicles while maintaining a safe, clean store environment.

Qualifications

• Retail experience is preferred but not necessary

Responsibilities

• Bag groceries at checkout for customers
• Strive to bag at least five items without damage
• Assist in loading bags into customers' cars
• Perform basic shelf conditioning
• Inform customers of specials
• Return merchandise to shelves
• Gather bascarts and return them to designated areas
• Clean spills, trash in store and parking lot
• Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise
• Know store layout and locate products
• Follow safety procedures and report unsafe conditions
• Adhere to food safety regulations
• Inspect equipment and report repairs
• Provide friendly customer assistance and answer product questions
• Adhere to laws and company guidelines
• Work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment
• Manage conflicts calmly and professionally
• Follow directions and seek help when needed
• Support and assist minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
• Perform essential functions with or without accommodations
