Kroger in Hebron, OH is seeking a Courtesy Clerk/Grocery Bagger to provide outstanding customer service, bag groceries at checkout, and ensure a safe, clean shopping environment. You will assist shoppers, stock shelves, and help with load-outs while following company policies and safety guidelines.

This role emphasizes friendly interaction, attention to detail in bagging, and ability to work in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Retail experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Bag groceries at check out for customers.
• Aim for at least five items in each bag while preventing damage.
• Follow best practices for bagging in reusable, plastic, and paper bags.
• Assist in removing merchandise from bottom of bascart for checkout.
• Offer to help customers with loading bags into their car.
• Perform basic shelf conditioning and rotate stock as needed.
• Inform customers of grocery specials and locate products.
• Return merchandise to store shelves and reset displays.
• Collect and return bascarts to designated areas.
• Clean spills and collect trash inside store and in the parking lot.
• Clean all areas inside and outside the store.
• Handle and arrange seasonal merchandise as needed.
• Understand store layout and conduct price checks for cashiers.
• Reinforce safety procedures and report unsafe conditions to management.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Inspect equipment and report needed repairs to the appropriate department.
• Create a welcoming environment and answer product questions for customers.
