Job summary

Kroger Florence is hiring a Courtesy Clerk/Grocery Bagger to deliver outstanding customer service, bag groceries, stock shelves and assist customers with loading and price checks. You will help maintain a clean, safe store environment and follow store policies.

Qualifications

• Retail experience is preferred but not necessary

Responsibilities

• Courtesy Clerk/Grocery Bagger bags groceries at checkout
• Assist in removing merchandise from basket for checkout
• Help customers load bags into their car
• Perform basic shelf conditioning
• Inform customers of grocery specials
• Return merchandise to store shelves
• Gather bascarts and return them to designated areas
• Clean spills and pick up trash inside store and parking lot
• Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise
• Understand store layout and locate products
• Reinforce safety programs and identify unsafe conditions
• Adhere to food safety regulations
• Practice preventive maintenance and report repairs
• Create a welcoming environment and answer questions
• Adhere to laws and company guidelines
• Work cooperatively in a high-paced environment
• Manage conflicts professionally
• Maintain honesty and integrity with information
• Follow directions and seek assistance when needed
• Support minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
