Job summary

Kroger in Costa Mesa, CA is hiring a Courtesy Clerk/Grocery Bagger to provide exceptional customer service at checkout and assist with bagging, shelf maintenance, and store cleanliness. You will help customers, manage bascarts, and support cashiers throughout shifts.

Ideal candidates may have retail experience or strong customer-service skills, and must be able to work in a fast-paced environment while following safety and food-handling guidelines.

Qualifications

• Retail experience preferred but not necessary.

Responsibilities

• Courtesy Clerk/Grocery Bagger bags groceries at check out.
• Assist in removing customer's merchandise from bottom of bascart.
• Offer to help customers with loading bags into their car.
• Perform basic shelf conditioning.
• Inform customers of grocery specials.
• Return merchandise to store shelves.
• Gather bascarts and return them to designated areas.
• Clean spills, collect and pick up trash inside store and parking lot.
• Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise.
• Understand store layout and locate products for cashiers.
• Adhere to safety programs and report unsafe conditions.
