Job summary

Kroger in Arlington Heights, IL is seeking a Courtesy Clerk/Grocery Bagger to deliver outstanding customer experiences, bag groceries at checkout, and maintain a safe, clean store environment.

You will follow store layouts, assist customers, stock shelves, handle seasonal merchandise, and support safety and food safety guidelines in a fast-paced setting. Flexible scheduling available; on-site position offering benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Retail experience is preferred but not necessary.

Responsibilities

• Courtesy Clerk/Grocery Bagger bag groceries at check out for customers.
• Assist in removing merchandise from bottom of bascart for checkout.
• Offer to help customers with loading bags into their car.
• Perform basic shelf conditioning.
• Inform customers of grocery specials.
• Return merchandise to store shelves.
• Gather bascarts and return them to designated areas.
• Clean spills, pick up trash inside store and parking lot.
• Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise.
• Understand store layout, locate products, and conduct price checks for cashiers.
• Reinforce safety programs by complying with procedures and notify management of issues.
• Adhere to all food safety regulations.
• Inspect equipment and notify department or store manager of repairs needed.
• Create welcoming environment and answer questions about products.
