Job summary

The Kroger Family of Companies is hiring a Courtesy Clerk/Grocery Bagger at our Glendale, AZ location. This on-site, part-time role focuses on providing outstanding customer service, bagging groceries carefully, and keeping shelves tidy.

Candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and helping customers with loading bags into their cars. As part of our team, you will follow safety and food-handling guidelines, assist with price checks, and contribute to a welcoming

Qualifications

• Retail experience is preferred but not necessary.

Responsibilities

• Bag groceries at checkout with care to avoid damage.
• Aim to bag at least five items efficiently.
• Follow best practices for bagging in reusable/plastic/paper bags.
• Assist in removing merchandise from bottom of bascart for checkout.
• Offer to help customers load bags into their car.
• Perform basic shelf conditioning and keep area tidy.
• Inform customers of specials and promotions.
• Return merchandise to store shelves and gather bascarts.
• Clean spills and pick up trash in store and parking lot.
• Understand store layout and locate products; conduct price checks for cashiers.
• Adhere to safety procedures and report unsafe conditions.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Inspect equipment and report needs for repair.
• Create welcoming environment and answer questions about products.
