Job Title: Grocery Associate

Position Overview

The grocery associate is responsible for increasing customer confidence and loyalty by providing courteous and prompt service, maintaining consistent operating conditions, and creating a friendly atmosphere.

Primary Responsibilities & Accountabilities

1. Provide continuous attention to customer needs; greet, assist, and thank customers in a prompt, courteous, and friendly manner.
2. Offer product suggestions when appropriate.
3. Stock and rotate department products (grocery, general merchandise, dairy, and frozen food) to ensure freshness and proper dating; restock and use supplies efficiently to reduce waste and maintain low supply costs.
4. Operate department equipment and tools.
5. Assist with receiving vendor merchandise.
6. Unload truck deliveries promptly.
7. Notify management of theft, shoplifting, unauthorized markdowns, property damage, or illegal activities.
8. Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum

• Meet legal and company policy age requirements.
• Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Ability to understand and follow English instructions.
• Authorization to work in the United States or ability to obtain it.
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug testing and background check.
