Responsibilities

• Promote trust and respect among associates.
• Create an inviting environment for customers and answer questions about products in the department and store.
• Gain and maintain knowledge of products and respond to questions with recommendations.
• Offer product samples to help customers discover items.
• Inform customers of dairy specials.
• Provide customers with fresh products they have ordered.
• Recommend items to meet customer needs.
• Check product quality and review sell-by dates; take action as needed.
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise.
• Report ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
• Display a positive attitude and stay updated with ads.
• Adhere to safety regulations and maintain proper temperatures.
• Reinforce safety programs and identify unsafe conditions.
• Inspect equipment and notify managers of repairs.
• Notify management of accidents or safety risks.
• Report all safety risks, theft, or fraud.
