Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate centerless grinding machines per production requirements.
• Adjust feeds, speeds, machine controls, and grinding wheels to meet tolerances and finishes.
• Load and unload materials safely and efficiently.
• Inspect parts with precision measuring tools.
• Read blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Monitor production for dimensional accuracy.
• Dress grinding wheels and perform routine maintenance.
• Troubleshoot machine, tooling, and quality issues.
• Complete production and inspection documentation.
• Maintain a clean, organized 5S workplace.
• Follow safety, quality, and company procedures.
• Communicate concerns to supervisors and maintenance.
• Participate in continuous improvement for productivity and quality.

B&G Manufacturing is looking for an experienced Grinding Operator to join our manufacturing team in Hatfield, PA. This position is responsible for setting up and operating centerless grinding machines to produce high-quality, precision components that meet customer and engineering specifications.

What You'll Do

• Set up and operate centerless grinding machines according to production requirements and work instructions.
• Adjust feeds, speeds, machine controls, and grinding wheels to achieve required tolerances and finishes.
• Load and unload materials safely and efficiently.
• Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, gauges, comparators, and other precision measuring equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications, and job travelers.
• Monitor production and make adjustments to maintain dimensional accuracy and quality.
• Dress grinding wheels and perform routine machine maintenance.
• Troubleshoot machine, tooling, and quality issues.
• Complete production and inspection documentation accurately.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area using 5S principles.
• Follow all safety, quality, and company procedures.
• Communicate production or equipment concerns to supervisors and maintenance.
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency.

What We're Looking For

Physical Requirements

This is a hands-on manufacturing position. The ability to stand, bend, reach, position and maneuver materials and equipment is required. Employees must be able to move, install, adjust, measure, and maneuver materials weighing up to 70 pounds. Appropriate personal protective equipment must be worn.
