Job summary

EMC Precision in Indiana is seeking skilled machinists for a 3rd shift grinding position. The role focuses on set-up/production on full CNC and manual machines, with emphasis on maintaining tight tolerances and quality verifications.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret engineering drawings
• Read a micrometer and other precision instruments
• Calculate and adjust machine settings
• Identify and solve problems
• Must pass background check and drug screen
• High school diploma or GED preferred

EMC Precision has provided complex parts in low- to mid-volume quantities expertly machined since 1925. This grinding position will be responsible for set-up/production on full CNC and manual machines. This position will require making quality verifications and adjustments as necessary.

The position requires 2 – 5 years’ experience:

• Must be able to dress wheels
• Must be able to set work blade heights
• Must have experience holding .0001 tolerances
• Read and interpret drawings
• Read micrometer and other precision instruments
• Calculate/adjust machine settings
• Identify/solve problems
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen
• Possess a solid work history
• High School diploma/GED preferred
