Job summary

Standex in New Berlin, WI is seeking a Grinder/Finisher to finish metal components to precise specs using grinding and polishing tools. You will ensure surfaces are smooth, meet quality standards, and support downstream assembly.

Shift 3:30PM–12:00AM with training on first shift and shift differential. Candidates should have 1+ year grinding experience, good dexterity, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Team player committed to SQDC goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year related grinding experience or training.
• Manual dexterity to operate grinding tools and equipment.
• Forklift experience is preferred.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Perform grinding and finishing operations to meet specifications.
• Operate grinding tools, fixtures, and robotic cells as needed.
• Read work orders and blueprints to determine setup and finish dimensions.
• Inspect finished workpieces using gauges and micrometers for conformance.
• Document actions in production and quality logs.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety, follow SQDC goals.
