Job summary

AtWork Group is seeking a Grinder/Machine Operator for the 2nd shift in Greeneville, TN. The role runs Mon–Thu, 4:30 PM–2:00 AM, with a temp-to-hire employment path and a starting pay of $15.00 per hour.

Responsibilities include operating grinding machines, loading parts, reading blueprints, inspecting parts, and ensuring quality. Training on 1st shift may be required until released to 2nd shift; safety and attendance are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in machine shop or manufacturing preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and basic measurements.
• Experience with hand tools and precision measuring instruments preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.
• Able to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
• Willing to train on 1st shift before moving to 2nd shift.
• Excellent attendance and punctuality.
• Steady work history and reliable employment record.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate grinding machines and other shop equipment safely and efficiently.
• Load and unload parts into machines.
• Monitor machine operation and adjust as needed.
• Inspect finished parts with calipers, micrometers, gauges.
• Read blueprints and work instructions.
• Perform deburring, grinding, finishing to meet quality standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Follow safety procedures and company guidelines.
• Complete production paperwork and quality checks.
