Job summary

Aluminum Precision Products is seeking a Grinder who can start right away. Training will be provided to safely use a grinder to remove excess metal from parts to blueprint specifications and shop order instructions.

This role emphasizes safety, attendance, and adherence to production standards. The position requires work in a fast-paced environment with overtime as needed, ability to lift and move parts, and strict quality control of finished components.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and write English.
• Must be able to work in a drug-free environment.
• Good depth perception for grinding/finishing parts.
• Able to work overtime to meet production needs.
• Able to lift up to 30 lbs and move heavier loads with equipment.
• Able to apply up to 50 lbs of force as needed to stabilize parts.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety procedures and maintain an organized workspace.
• Attend on-time attendance to meet production needs.
• Inspect parts visually and by touch, remove flash and excess material.
• Operate surface-grinding tools to remove defects.
• Maintain accurate part/work piece counts.
• Comply with travelers and production requirements.
• On-the-job training will be provided.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the dept. manager.
