Position Description:

Performs skilled tasks to finish metal components, transportation tanks, and bottles during production. Responsible for inspecting surfaces and welds for defects. The role involves working in confined spaces for up to four hours and requires careful attention to safety to prevent injuries.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Below are examples of responsibilities:

1. Inspect equipment before use to ensure safety and completion of preventative maintenance.
2. Examine surfaces and welds for defects.
3. Work in confined spaces.
4. Set up, adjust, and operate equipment safely and efficiently to produce parts.
5. Finish welds on tanks using electrical and pneumatic tools.
6. Buff, grind, and blend metal surfaces and welds, including on tanks and manhole covers.
7. Complete tasks following safety policies, including proper use of PPE such as safety shoes, gloves, glasses, hearing protection, and respirators.
8. Perform additional duties as assigned, potentially including work in other departments.
