General Job Description:

Operate a grinding machine safely, maintain a clean work area, and follow GMP and safety standards related to the grinding process.

Physical Requirements: Must be willing and able to perform physical tasks with or without reasonable accommodation.

Tasks:

1. Inspect equipment, parts, and blades for good repair and sanitation prior to setup.
2. Read and interpret work instructions accurately.
3. Identify raw materials used in grinding.
4. Verify lot numbers according to formulas.
5. Follow written/typed instructions for formulations.
6. Use basic math skills for documentation and QA checks.
7. Complete transactions using RF terminal or scanner.
8. Communicate shift changes effectively.
9. Control product losses.
10. Wash equipment for changeovers and dispose of trash properly.
11. Maintain an organized work area.
12. Box raw materials and ensure proper use of rework.
13. Maintain forklift license if required.
14. Report any food safety deficiencies.
15. Lift up to 80 lbs as needed.
16. Work in environments with temperatures from 39F to 90F.
17. Adhere to GMP and safety guidelines.
18. Read schedules and specifications to ensure correct product placement.
