Job summary

Atkore in Dallas, TX is seeking a Grinder for day shift (7:00am–7:00pm) at $20.00/hr. You will regrind materials for reuse under the supervision of the Operations Manager and ensure safe handling of materials and equipment.

Responsibilities include weighing inventory, following grinding schedules, loading material into the grinder, staging for jobs, and performing maintenance and cleanup of production and storage areas. PPE compliance and safety rules are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Forklift experience or ability to operate forklift safely.
• Strong math, counting and basic calculations.

Grinder – Day Shift (7:00am – 7:00pm) $20.00/hr.

We are currently looking for a Grinder to be based out of Dallas, TX. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this person will be responsible for regrinding materials for use.

What you’ll do

• Extrusion
  • Weigh inventory
  • Follow grinding schedule
  • Load material into the grinder and grind into pellet form for reprocessing
  • Stage material for upcoming jobs
  • Other
    • Perform maintenance and cleanup for production and storage areas
    • Know and follow plant safety rules and wear proper PPE (safety glasses, ear plugs, steel-toed shoes, and gloves)
    • Able to prioritize tasks and anticipate needs to effectively manage time and accomplish all tasks
    • Proficient with all material handling and packaging devices including forklifts, pallet jacks, banders, and nail guns
• Other tasks as assigned
