Job summary

Coperion is seeking a Grinder/Bead Blast Operator for our Whitewater, WI location. The role supports the Operations department by setting up, maintaining, and operating grinding and bead blasting to produce quality finishes per specifications.

Responsibilities include setting up equipment, removing adhearing sand and oxide, and ensuring parts meet drawings. We offer a 5S production floor and a strong team environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 6 months or more related experience.
• Ability to read blueprints preferred.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Dependability a must.

Responsibilities

• Set up equipment, select nozzles per requirements, and adjust air/sand mixture for best finish.
• Operate stationary and portable grinders and other hand tools to remove oxidation, burrs, and weld spatter from stainless steel.
• Grind and polish weld seams to obtain a matched grained finish per drawings/specifications.
• Support lean manufacturing with 5S.
• Adhere to ISO 9001 standards, work instructions and procedures.

The Grinder/Bead Blast Operator supports the activities of the Operations department by setting up, maintaining, operating, and cleaning grinding and bead blast equipment to assure a quality product finish that meets specifications.
