Job summary

Golden State Foods in Opelika, AL is hiring a Forklift Operator for the Grinding Room on the 2nd shift (Mon-Sat, 2:20pm-12:00am). This full-time position requires lifting 80+ lbs, operating forklifts safely, and following FIFO procedures to support production and warehouse operations.

You'll pull, stage, and move raw materials, participate in inventory management, and ensure quality and safety standards are met, with weekly pay and shift incentives as described.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid forklift license required.
• 2-3 years forklift experience in a cold storage or warehouse environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts in accordance with GSF procedures and OSHA requirements.
• Maintain a valid driver’s license at all times.
• Perform daily pre-operational and safety inspections; report issues.
• Support freezer operations and load pallets.
• Maintain tape, wrap, and ink supplies.
• Assist with robotic palletizing equipment and replenishment.
• Learn barcode systems used in the facility.
