Job summary

Golden State Foods in Opelika, AL, is hiring a Grinder Operator for our state-of-the-art protein production plant. You will operate meat grinders, conveyors, and related equipment to process raw beef, while following strict safety and quality standards.

This role suits mechanically inclined individuals with food processing experience and a strong commitment to cleanliness. You will be responsible for setup, material inspection, equipment adjustments, and sanitation, with awareness of LOTO

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior experience in food manufacturing or meat processing strongly preferred.
• Forklift certification preferred or willing to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Operate industrial meat grinders and conveyor systems per safety and quality standards.
• Follow safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO).
• Set up and break down grinder and conveyor equipment.
• Read raw material line-up sheets for correct ingredient selection.
• Inspect materials and monitor texture, adjusting knives/plates as needed.
• Drive forklift to load raw materials onto equipment.
• Perform sanitation duties and maintain GMP compliance.
• Coordinate with team members to ensure workflow and quality.
• Report malfunctions or hazards to leadership.
