Job summary

JOEY Restaurants is seeking a Grill Cook to craft menu items with accuracy and consistency in a fast-paced kitchen. You will follow JO EY recipes, maintain sanitary prep and cook areas, and support a clean, safe kitchen environment.

Ideal candidates have 1–3+ years cooking experience, valid Food Handler and California RBS certifications, and a passion for hospitality. This role offers a dynamic team setting with opportunities for growth and performance rewards.

As a Grill Cook, you are a skilled multi-tasker. You deliver results with consistency and precision and understand exactly the food quality and consistency our guests know and expect. In this role, you will follow menu specifications and uphold the quality of our products, while fostering a clean and safe kitchen environment.

Wage Scale

$25.00 - $30.00 per hour. This position is eligible for tips.

Duties

• Utilize various preparation and cooking methods to ensure the quick, precise creation of our menu itemsin accordance withJOEY recipes. Coordinate with other stations as needed.
• Maintainprepand cooking areas in aclean,sanitary,and safe manner.
• Complete assigned opening, side work, and closing duties to set your team up for success.
• Follow all instructions and guidelines for safe usage of kitchen equipment and cleaning compounds. Report equipment problems and maintenance issues to leadershipimmediately.
• Follow all food service and handling safety precautions and procedures.

Basic Qualifications

• 1-3+ years culinary experience(If you have high potential but less experience, we still want to meet you!).
• Must have or be able to obtain valid local and/or state Food Handler and California Responsible Beverage Service certifications.
• Possess a passion for hospitality and a proventrack recordof creating world-class hospitality experiences.
• Thrive in adynamic,fast-paced work environment.
• Beable to walk and stand for prolonged periods of time; frequent bending, reaching, and stretching; repetitive manual tasks; and lift and carry up to 50lbs.
