Unidine is hiring immediately for a part-time GRILL COOK position.

• Location: Luther Ridge - 624-628 Congdon Street West, Middletown, CT 06457.
• Schedule: Part-time; days may vary, including rotating weekends. 10:30 am to 6:30 pm. More details upon interview.
• Requirement: Prior culinary experience preferred.
• Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour.

Job Summary

Summary: Prepares food and serves customers at the grill station following federal, state, and corporate standards to ensure high-quality food service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Takes orders from customers and prepares items requiring short preparation. Completes orders from steam tables and serves customers at multiple stations.
2. Serves customers efficiently and friendly, ensuring food is at the correct temperature, attractive, and tasty. Tastes all prepared food items.
3. Uses established ticket-collection procedures during service. Maintains records from area worked during service periods.
4. Uses approved recipes and standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures, and portion control.
5. Transfers pans, kettles, and trays of food safely to and from workstations, stove, and refrigerator.
6. Stores foods properly following safety and rotation procedures.
7. Cleans and sanitizes work areas, equipment, and utensils to meet sanitation standards.
8. Addresses customer concerns and reports relevant issues to the supervisor.
9. Attends in-service and safety meetings.
10. Maintains good relationships with coworkers, customers, and management.
11. Performs job safely, maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
12. Performs other duties as assigned.
