As a Cook II, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of items prepared.

Mason Street Grill in downtown Milwaukee has become a local favorite for delicious steak, hand-crafted cocktails, and jazz music. We aim to create memorable experiences through great food, drinks, and service that guests want to return for.

Responsibilities

• Prepare station-specific food items according to recipes, ensuring consistency and quality.
• Monitor product storage, portion sizes, and special items like stocks and sauces.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization to meet Health Department regulations.
• Ensure equipment is clean, sanitized, and operational.
• Uphold high standards of food production and presentation.
• Maintain personal hygiene and sanitation practices.
• Manage station setup, breakdown, and prep work.
• Follow recipe specifications for all food preparation.

Qualifications

• Previous cooking experience, 1-2 years in a similar position preferred.
• Culinary or Apprenticeship program preferred.
• High school diploma preferred.
• Sufficient manual dexterity to use all kitchen equipment.
• Ability to lift, push, or pull weights up to 100 pounds.
• Ability to stand for long periods, work in confined spaces with high noise levels, and perform duties within extreme temperatures.
• Ability to obtain necessary licenses or certifications for sanitation, liquor service, or food service.
