We are hiring immediately for a full-time GRILL COOK position.

Location: Micron SJ - 130 Holger Way Attn Cafe, San Jose, CA 95134. Note: online applications accepted only.

Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm. More details upon interview.

Requirements: Previous grill cooking experience and a valid Food Handler's card are preferred.

Pay Range: $22.00 to $24.00 per hour

Job Summary

Summary: Prepares food and serves customers at the grill station according to federal, state, and corporate standards, guidelines, and regulations to ensure high-quality food service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Takes orders from customers, prepares items requiring short preparation, completes orders from steam tables, and serves customers at multiple stations.
• Serves customers efficiently and friendly, ensuring food is at the correct temperature, attractive, and tasty. Tastes all prepared food items.
• Uses established ticket-collection procedures during service and maintains records from the area worked.
• Uses approved recipes and standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures, and portion control.
• Handles pans, kettles, and trays of food safely between workstations, stove, and refrigerator.
• Stores foods properly, following food safety and rotation procedures.
• Cleans and sanitizes work areas, equipment, and utensils to meet sanitation standards.
• Resolves customer concerns and reports relevant information to supervisors.
• Attends in-service and safety meetings.
• Maintains good relationships with coworkers, customers, and management.
• Performs duties safely and maintains a clean, safe work environment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
