Job summary

Compass Group USA at The Wheeler School in Providence, RI is hiring for full time and part time Grill Cook positions. You will prepare food at the grill station and serve customers in a fast-paced school dining environment, following safety, portion control and quality standards. Schedule is Monday through Friday, with some nights and weekends required.

Previous grill cooking experience is required. This role offers a fixed pay rate of $20.00 per hour and benefits available to associates.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Takes orders from customer and prepares items at the grill station.
• Serves customers in a friendly and efficient manner following service standards.
• Uses established ticket-collection procedures during service and ensures items meet quality standards.
• Uses approved recipes and production standards to ensure proper portions and temperatures.
• Carries pans, kettles and trays safely between stations.
• Stores foods in designated areas with proper dating and rotation.
• Cleans, sanitizes and maintains work areas and equipment.
• Resolves customer concerns and reports issues to supervisor.
• Attends in-service and safety meetings.
• Maintains good working relationships with coworkers and managers.
• Performs duties safely in a clean, safe work environment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
