Job summary

Parea Greek Taverna in Maitland, FL is seeking a dedicated Grill Cook to join our fast-paced kitchen. You will prep, cook, and plate premium menu items while maintaining high standards of freshness and consistency.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months of high-volume line cook experience.
• Full range of physical motion to bend, reach, squat, and navigate tight kitchen spaces safely.
• Ability to stand and walk continuously on hard surfaces for up to an 8-hour shift.
• Ability to safely lift and carry up to 40 lbs independently, and up to 80 lbs with a partner.

Responsibilities

• Prep, cook, and fire premium menu items according to established recipes and plating guides.
• Line setup: complete setup, deep cleaning, and full stocking of the main service line before service begins.
• Line breakdown: close down the line, wrap products, and wipe down station after service.
• Food safety: maintain immaculate preparation surfaces and follow all health codes.
• Equipment management: monitor and log temperatures on grills, fryers, ovens, and coolers.
• Quality control: taste and inspect ingredients for freshness and use FIFO rotation.
• Pace & efficiency: track stock thresholds during busy shifts to prevent bottlenecks.
• Consistency: maintain exact portion metrics and cook times for every ticket.
• Team collaboration: work with prep cooks, dishwashers, and front-of-house staff.
