Sodexo in Baton Rouge is seeking a Grill Cook to join our culinary team. You will prepare and present a variety of hot and cold dishes, focusing on quality and customer service. Your ability to work well with others and maintain high standards is essential.

You’ll work with a team, follow recipes, and operate grill stations and other kitchen equipment. Flexibility with shifts is preferred. This full-time role offers training, benefits, and opportunities to grow within the Sodexo family.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of related experience is beneficial.
• Read and measure ingredients according to recipes.
• May operate grill station, fryer and other kitchen equipment.
• Attends shifts on time with satisfactory regularity.
• Other duties may be assigned based on client requirements.

Responsibilities

• Accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, grill, and present a variety of hot and/or cold food items for various meal periods.
• Read and measure ingredients according to recipes.
• Operate grill station, fryer and other kitchen equipment as needed.
• Attend scheduled shifts on time and with reliable attendance.
• Support catering and special events as required.

As a Grill Cook at Sodexo, you are a team player and food waste reducer. You’ll prepare and create nutritious dishes while putting customer service at the heart of everything you do. Your passion for food and warm smile will make a positive impact and brighten the day of those you serve.

Responsibilities include:

• Accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, grill, and present a variety of hot and/or cold food items for various meal periods: to include Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and Special/Catered Events.
• Read and measure/mix ingredients according to recipe(s)
• May prepare food and serve customers at an a la carte and/or operate a grill station, fryer, and other kitchen equipment
• Attends work and shows for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity
• Other duties may be assigned and can differ among accounts, depending on business necessities and client requirements.
