Job summary

Picasso-Restaurant-Group is seeking a skilled Cook for its fast-paced kitchen at the U of M Kellogg Eye Center in Ann Arbor. You will prepare meals to PRG standards, working Monday–Friday with holidays off and overtime opportunities during events.

Ideal candidates have proven cook experience, can handle high-pressure service, and possess teamwork and strong communication skills. Healthcare begins after 90 days; evenings and weekends are off as part of the schedule.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as cook in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Knowledge of sanitation procedures and safe food handling.
• Ability to work in a team and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment.
• Prepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat etc.).
• Expedite orders to customers (requires customer interaction).
• Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen.
• Ensure all food and other items are stored properly.
• Check quality of ingredients.
• Monitor stock and place orders when there are shortages.

We are looking for a skilled Cook to prepare delicious meals according to PRG menu standard.

Moday - Friday.All major holidays off. Opportunities for overtime during special events.

MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH HIGH PACE ENVIRNOMENT AND BE ABLE TO GRILL MORE THAN ONE ORDER AT A TIME.

The location is at the U of M Kellogg Eye Center in Ann Arbor.
