Job summary

The role emphasizes strong communication, meticulous planning, and teamwork to keep the grid reliable. Prior Trouble Man or Lineman experience is preferred; Oracle NMS experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Five or more years as Trouble Man or Lineman preferred.
• Experience with distribution electrical systems and planning is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Develop and write electrical switching procedures for distribution operations activities.
• Coordinate switching plans with control center personnel and internal stakeholders.
• Review and assess upcoming switching requirements ranging from half-day to multi-day timeframes.
• Distribute draft switching plans for internal review and incorporate feedback to obtain necessary approvals.
• Schedule approved switching procedures for execution.
• Communicate finalized plans to the control center and ensure smooth handoff.
• Provide follow-up support and respond to questions during plan execution.
• Collaborate with team members and internal partners to ensure coordination across operations.
• Assist with coverage responsibilities during team member absences as needed.
