Job summary

Ideal candidates have 1+ years in electrical distribution, with utility industry experience and knowledge of safety tags, clearances, and grid operations.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience working with electrical distribution systems.
• Utility industry experience.
• Experience with distribution system operations, switch procedures, safety tags and clearances, grid operations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and write detailed switching plans for distribution system maintenance, construction, and outage-related work.
• Prepare and submit switching requests for approval.
• Coordinate daily with control center personnel, outage coordination teams, and grid operations staff.
• Schedule approved switching plans and ensure execution.
• Maintain knowledge of electrical safety practices, safety tags, clearances, and switching procedures.
• Support safe work execution by verifying compliance with operational and safety requirements.
• Be the contact for switching-related questions before, during, and after work execution.
• Review upcoming workload and prioritize switching plans to support operational schedules.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure work is completed safely, and with minimal system impact.
