Job summary

United Utility is seeking a highly organized Program Manager to lead a multi-year initiative strengthening the electrical grid across the Gulf South region. The role oversees planning, budgeting, stakeholder coordination, and performance tracking to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

The successful candidate will manage diverse teams, communicate with executives and clients, and drive resiliency and grid modernization efforts in a regulated utility environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in Program or Project Manager, preferably in electric utility industry or related field.
• Knowledge of resiliency planning, grid modernization, and utility regulations.
• Experience managing financials for large multi-disciplinary projects.
• Familiarity with project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
• Strong customer and executive management relationship skills.
• Ability to make informed decisions under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and environmental standards in the electric utility industry.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning and execution of resiliency projects, ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, and budget.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including engineering, construction, procurement, and regulatory compliance.
• Serve as the primary point of contact between company and utility partner, maintaining strong client relationships.
• Monitor project milestones and deliverables, proactively identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
• Prepare and present regular status reports to internal leadership and external stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
• Manage subcontractors and vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of services.
• Drive continuous improvement and innovation in program delivery.
