Job summary

Xcel Energy is offering an internship anchored in the Southwestern Public Service Company distribution planning team, focusing on Texas and New Mexico, with the internship based in Lubbock, TX. The program starts May 24th, 2027 and may extend based on performance and business needs.

Interns will support distribution planners in a hybrid, in-person setting. Minimum requirements include being a current student (sophomore or higher) pursuing an ABET-accredited Electrical Engineering degree and

Qualifications

• Current student, Sophomore or higher
• Enrolled in an ABET accredited college or university and pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering
• Able to work full-time during the summer (up to 40 hours a week) / part time during the school year (up to 20 hours a week) and commute in-person to the designated work location, per hybrid policy.
