Job summary

Eversource is seeking an Engineer to directly support the execution, implementation, and maintenance of the Distribution Management System (DMS). You will help optimize the distribution network with AFR, LVM, and DER planning, while collaborating across IT, engineering, and operations to deliver safe, reliable energy and support modernization efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Electrical Engineering preferred.
• 3+ years related experience required.
• Experience modeling electric distribution systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support the Company’s electric system operators by optimizing the distribution system using DMS advanced functionality (AFR, LVM, Planned Outage Study).
• Serve as SME in real-time technologies (ADMS, SCADA, DER dispatching, energy storage, microgrids, Volt/Var Optimization, load shedding).
• Collaborate with system operations control centers, IT, and engineering for DMS functionality and future enhancements.
• Configure DMS advanced applications (FLISR, LVM, AFR, Load/Generation Scheduling).
• Develop project approval docs including scope, budgets, risks, and schedule.
• Investigate new technologies and tools and assess relevance to operations.
• Develop data processing tools for engineering models and databases.
• Support cross-disciplinary teams across three states for grid modernization programs.
