You will perform technical studies, develop connection requirements, and stay current with smart grid and energy storage technologies.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with specialization in Power Systems.
• Minimum of 5 years in power systems engineering focusing on renewables grid integration.
• Proficiency in power system analysis software for stability and transient studies.
• Thorough understanding of grid codes, network planning, and operational challenges with renewables.
• Experience with power electronics and energy storage interaction with the grid is desirable.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills for a remote role.

Our client is seeking a highly specialized Grid Integration Specialist to join their forward-thinking team, working remotely across South Africa . This critical role focuses on ensuring the seamless and stable integration of renewable energy sources, such as solar and wind, into the national electricity grid. You will be responsible for technical studies, developing connection requirements, and collaborating with grid operators and project developers to overcome integration challenges. The ideal candidate possesses a strong background in power systems engineering with a deep understanding of grid dynamics, stability, and the specific challenges posed by intermittent generation. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within the country while contributing to the modernization of our energy infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
