Job summary

Westinghouse Electric's WECTEC Staffing Services contract opportunity invites a Grid Inspector at the Columbia facility. You will perform detailed dimensional and visual inspections of production parts and ensure accuracy of shipping documents and records supplied by vendors.

The role requires reading drawings and standards to determine dimensional requirements, timely reviews of schedules, and proper handling of non-conforming materials.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or Equivalent.
• Must be Available all Shifts.
• Must pass Psychological/Safety Assessment.
• Must pass stringent background drug screen and medical.
• Can stand, sit, push, pull, kneel, bend and lift and carry 35 lbs.
• 2 Years Manufacturing experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely perform dimensional and visual inspection of production parts per customer requirements.
• Overcheck shipping documents and records provided by suppliers to ensure accuracy and compliance with Westinghouse expectations.
• Read and interpret drawings and standards to determine dimensional requirements.
• Review internal and external contract schedules to meet daily production needs.
• Use documentation in the internal hold system for non-conforming material.
• Communicate quality issues to relevant stakeholders promptly.
