Job summary

WECTEC Staffing Services is seeking a Grid Inspector for our Columbia, SC site, supporting Westinghouse operations. This contract role focuses on dimensional and visual inspection of production parts, with emphasis on safety and adherence to customer requirements.

The position requires the ability to read drawings, interpret standards, and perform shipping document checks. Availability on all shifts and passing safety/background screenings are mandatory.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to pass safety and drug screening.
• Able to stand, sit, push/pull and lift up to 35 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform dimensional and visual inspection of production parts.
• Overcheck shipping documents and supplier records to ensure accuracy.
• Read and interpret drawings and standards for dimensional requirements.
• Review production schedules to meet daily needs.
• Document non-conforming material in the hold system.
• Escalate quality issues to stakeholders promptly.
