Job summary

Greg's Automotive in Kent, WA is seeking an Automotive Technician to diagnose and repair customer vehicles in our shop.

You will follow MAP guidelines and dealership standards, maintain ASE certifications, and communicate diagnoses and repairs to customers and staff. Competitive pay and benefits accompany this role.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Prefer a minimum of one unexpired ASE certification or equivalent experience.
• Possess valid driver's license.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to work five days per week, Monday–Friday.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses vehicles according to the appropriate level of certifications/experience.
• Performs work as outlined on the Multi-point Inspection and/or Repair Order with efficiency and accuracy.
• Explains technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals such as the Store Manager, Service Consultants, or customers.
• Recommends services necessary to keep the customer's vehicle in running condition and documents all recommendations in the customer file.
• Follows all safety procedures and reports any concerns to the Shop Foreman or Store Manager.
• Maintains appropriate ASE certifications and renewals of expiring certifications.

The Automotive Technician is responsible for effectively and efficiently diagnosing and repairing customer vehicles while adhering to the MAP guidelines and in accordance with dealership, manufacturers and Greg's Automotive standards.

COMPENSATION: $35-$45/hr - VARIES DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE - Sign on bonus amount varies from $2500-$5000 depending on ASE certifications and level of mechanic experience.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Diagnoses vehicles according to the appropriate level of certifications/experience.
• Performs work as outlined on the Multi-point Inspection and/or Repair Order with efficiency and accuracy.
• Explains technical diagnosis and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals which may include the Store Manager, Service Consultants and/or customers.
