The role involves moving vehicles, delivering them after service, performing light maintenance tasks, and ensuring clean, organized service areas while providing friendly, professional customer service.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Ability to operate both automatic and manual transmission vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers promptly and professionally as they enter the service area.
• Drive vehicles to and from service areas and the lot as needed.
• Install protective coverings and tag vehicles for service.
• Provide basic vehicle services (gas, oil, water) and vehicle cleaning as needed.
• Maintain lot cleanliness and shop appearance; assist with snow/debris removal.
• Transport customers to and from their homes when required.
• Attend trainings and ensure documentation/compliance; follow safety procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Description

The Service Department Greeter/Porter helps ensure complete customer satisfaction by greeting customers as they enter the Service Department, ensuring customers areassisted in a friendly and quick manner, moving vehicles in and around the service area/lot, maintaining the cleanliness of vehicles and the service area, delivering vehicles to customers after service is complete, and transporting customers to/from their home when needed.

The ideal candidate has excellent customer service skills, enjoys interacting with the public, a high energy level, a desire to work in a fast paced environment, and a valid driver’s license. He or she must have great communication and customer service skills, strong organizational and problem solving skills, and a positive attitude. Candidates must be able to drive both manual and automatic transmissions and safely maneuver vehicles in tight and small spaces. Previous experience is preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Promply and professionally greets customers as they enter the Service area
• Drives vehicles to and from service areas and lot as needed
• Installs protective coverings (seat covers, steering wheel covers, floor mats, etc.) and tags in all vehicles brought in for service
• Services vehicles with gas, oil, and water
• Washes and cleans vehicles as needed
• Helps maintain lot appearance by cleaning driveway and sidewalks, removing snow and debris as necessary
• Helps maintain shop cleanliness, including windows, doors, floors, etc.
• Transports customers to and from their home when needed and requested
• Attends all staff meetings, trainings, and educational classes as required
• Ensures that required documentation is complete and is in compliance with regulations and standards
• Follows all safety and security procedures
• Performs other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Unrestricted driver's license and clean driving record
• Able to drive both automatic and standard-transmission vehicles
• Able to safely operate motor vehicles in tight and small spaces
• Highly professional and dependable
• Excellent communication, customer service, and problem solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stress
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Basic computer and internet skills
• Previous experience in a similar role a plus
