Located in an historic 100-year-old grain mill, Ginger and Baker is home to two restaurants, a coffee shop, teaching kitchen, event spaces and a retail market. Ginger and Baker features authentic Colorado cuisine and is proud to partner with local farmers, ranchers, food artisans and craftspeople to showcase the innovative, hardworking spirit that makes Northern Colorado so unique. As a Greeter with Ginger and Baker, you will be an ambassador for the exceptional service and cuisine that are hallmarks of our brand and dining experience. Your warm, personal attention provides a memorable first impression for our Guests of our restaurants, bars and facilities, making them feel welcome and valued. You are responsible for maintaining outstanding Guest service, generating sales, merchandising, and safeguarding company assets. P ersonally engage with our Guests in a Warm and Authentic manner at all times. Create an experience with every Guest that generates a “Good Will Ambassador” for Ginger and Baker.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Greet guests confidently with a positive attitude and bid them farewell as they leave
  • Consistently achieve excellent results in satisfaction feedback. Professionally handle each Guest, incoming phone calls and appropriately end conversation with customer satisfaction personally or through referring to a manager.
  • Strive to create a “Yes” environment to all individuals that enter G&B
  • Always maintain proper setup of dining room sections on Ipad/SpotOn
  • Proficient at using Reserve/SpotOn to seat, waitlist and make reservations for guests
  • Monitor pace and create accurate wait times for guests on waitlist
  • Guide guests to the desired space that they are looking for; Cache, Coffee Shop, Marketplace, Café
  • Give guided tours of the building and know what each space has to offer to guests
  • Memorize menu items and daily specials to answer questions and make recommendations
  • Make sure to stay at your station, the host stand
  • Support G&B with side work including, but not limited to cleaning, stocking, folding silverware, etc.
  • Promote a warm and friendly atmosphere among Team Members
  • Provide the highest standards of service established, consistent with the overall standard of Ginger and Baker.
  • Comply with Ginger and Baker policies/procedures, Standards of Conduct as set forth in the Team Member Handbook and contribute to overall clean and controlled aesthetic of our establishment.
  • Attend all Menu tastings and take/pass menu tests
REQUIREMENTS
  • Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language with the ability to communicate efficiently
  • Critical thinking and application of job in a high stress environment
  • The ability to work positively in close proximity with others comfortably, while multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to answer the phone and navigate the use of it
  • Exceptional communicational and interpersonal skills.
  • Read, understand and abide by the employee handbook, policies, departmental procedures and Health code
  • Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to deliver high levels of customer service
  • Business Casual attire and professional presentation of self
  • Attend Food Safe Training & Pass Food Safe Test
  • Preferred 1-year customer service in a restaurant setting
ATTIRE
  • Business Casual Attire
  • Skirts/Shorts must be at or below the knee
  • Shirts: No graphic T Shirts with Lettering/words or pictures. Waistlines must be covered, crop tops can be worn if stomach is not visible, no exposed shoulders or tank tops, no armpits
  • Pants: Nothing ripped, or with holes.
  • No blue jeans or leggings
SCHEDULE

This is not a Monday thru Friday job. It requires a flexible schedule that includes days, nights, weekends, and holidays. There are always going to be days when you won’t be able to leave right at your scheduled time.

RESPONSIBILITIES TO SAFETY
