Job summary

Mercedes-Benz of Fairfield is seeking a friendly Greeter to welcome customers entering the showroom and service area. You will determine the visitor’s needs, direct them to the appropriate department, and provide basic information while recording customer details in the dealership system.

The role requires strong communication, organization, data-entry speed, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced retail environment. Evening and weekend availability is expected.

Responsibilities

• Serves as telephone backup.
• Serves as clerical backup.
• Prints daily reports and weekly schedules for management.
• Conducts outbound customer calls.
• Other duties as assigned.

Summary/Objective
The Greeter serves as a front-line representative for the dealership. Greets customers as they enter the showroom, answers basic inquiries, and directs them to the appropriate party. Ensures a customer-friendly environment and an exceptional customer experience.

Essential Functions

• Greets showroom customers and determines the nature of their visit
• Directs customers to the correct department

• Hands out brochures and other information to customers

Work Environment/ Physical Demands
Will primarily work in a retail automotive sales showroom, and will work with the computer, telephone, and other office equipment as appropriate. May be asked to drive cars on occasion.
Light Work- lifting no more than 20 pounds at a time and/or frequent lifting or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 pounds.
This position will require the employee to alternate from sitting, standing, and walking throughout the shift
This position requires the ability to push, pull, stoop, kneel, reach, grasp
This position involves repetitive motion--primarily typing
This position requires the ability to talk and hear

Store Business Hours with ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required

Required Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Education and Experience
Customer service oriented with a positive attitude. Previous customer service experience preferred.
