Job summary

Wilson County Hyundai, Inc. is seeking a Service Greeter to welcome customers at the service lane, gather basic information, and perform a quick walk-around of vehicles.

You will guide customers to the right service advisor, note vehicle condition, and maintain a professional appearance while representing the dealership. This full-time on-site role requires strong communication, a valid driver's license, and the ability to stay on your feet for extended periods.

Responsibilities

Description

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

• Serves as a front-line representative for the dealership. Greets customers as they enter the service lane, gets basic information about them and the vehicle, does a quick walk-around of the vehicle noting any damage, checks condition of exterior items, answers basic inquiries, and directs them to the appropriate service advisor.

The following includes, but is not limited to, the duties and working conditions of the Service Greeter. Any time, when it is deemed necessary by management, these duties are subject to change, or you may be requested to assist other employees in other areas.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

1. Realize that during every interaction with customers the employee should remember the HERO (Helpful, Exceeds expectations, Represents us well, takes Ownership) program. Our customers are most important and should be treated as such.
2. Greets service customers and determines the nature of their visit.
3. Obtains and records basic demographic information about each customer, using dealership vehicle inspection form.
4. Answers basic customer inquiries. Refers more extensive inquiries to the appropriate person.
5. Performs a walk-around with the customer, noting condition of vehicle, tires, wipers, and other items as directed by the Fixed Operations manager or the lead service advisor.
6. Directs customers to an appropriate service advisor or introduces a new customer to a lead advisor.
7. Collect the VIN number, mileage, and do a walk around of each vehicle
8. Assign a tag to each vehicle and place it on the rearview mirror or on the windshield so the vehicle can be identified.
9. Place a mat on the driver's side floorboard of each vehicle so that the vehicle gets returned in like condition.
10. Guide the vehicles into and out of the service drive.
11. Fill each vehicle with windshield wiper fluid.
12. Cash out customers as directed.
13. Maintain service filing as directed.
14. Maintains professional appearance.
15. Work in conjunction with other team members to ensure successful completion of all assigned projects in a timely manner.

ABILITIES NEEDED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

1. Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
2. Must be able to remain on feet for long periods of time.
3. Must have a customer service focus.
4. Must be able to maintain a positive attitude.
5. Must be able to drive various types of vehicles.
6. Must have valid Driver's License and Excellent Driving Record.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Will be on feet moving throughout service department for entire shift. Essential duties will be performed primarily indoors.
