Job summary

Great Rivers Greenway is seeking a collaborative and motivated Project Manager to join our project management team responsible for all phases of planning, designing and constructing greenway projects throughout the St. Louis Region.

This full-time, on-site, salaried position with benefits, is responsible for collaborating with a wide range of internal and external partners, consultants and stakeholders to accomplish greenway capital projects, per the organization’s mission, vision and regional

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture, Engineering, Urban Planning, Public Administration, Parks and Recreation, Construction Management or related field is required.
• Active Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
• Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience related to Project Management.
• Understanding of municipal or government processes in procurement, contracting procedures, or construction.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with teammates, staff across departments, consultants and partners to accomplish projects per goals.
• Establish clear expectations at project conception to deliver an excellent user experience.
• Maintain relationships with partners and stakeholders to gather feedback, ensure buy-in and mitigate risks.
• Follow policy to establish budgets, control costs, develop schedules, and monitor progress with project controls.
• Procure, hire and manage consultants to support progress and coordinate with funding sources.
• Coordinate with land acquisition, regulatory agencies and utility providers for permits and compliance.
• Coordinate with the construction director and managers during pre-construction, bids and construction oversight.
