Duties and Responsibilities
- Be timely and dependable.
- Absorb and communicate detailed information about a frequently‑changing beer & food menu.
- Actively anticipate guests’ needs and address issues proactively.
- Maintain a safe and secure work environment.
- Perform transactions accurately and efficiently via Toast POS.
- Perform opening/closing tasks and sidework duties as a self‑starter.
- Recognize and potentially address, with management assistance, intoxicated, disruptive, or threatening patrons.
- Consistently meet all best practice standards set in the employee handbook and during training.

Education
High School or better is preferred but not required.
Experience
1 year experience in a restaurant and/or taproom.
Language Skills
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to present the menu to guests and answer questions. Must be able to speak English.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common‑sense understanding to carry out simple one‑ or two‑step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with occasional or no variables.
Physical Demands
Regular standing, walking, use of hands to grasp, reach with hands and arms, talking, hearing, tasting, and smelling. Frequently climbing 1 to 3 flights of stairs. Occasionally sitting, stooping, kneeling, and crouching. Regularly lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds such as a tray filled with food and drink. Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
Frequent exposure to outside weather conditions seasonally during spring, summer, and fall when the outdoor patio is open. Occasional exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals. Noise level usually moderate and can occasionally be loud.
