Job summary

Alisal Ranch in Solvang, CA is seeking an experienced Greenskeeper 1 to maintain the golf course and grounds to the highest standards.

You will operate mowing equipment, edge around trees and bunkers, water greens, assist with irrigation heads, cup cutting and ball mark repair.

This full-time on-site role requires physical stamina, the ability to lift 50 lbs, and availability on weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Prior Golf Course or Landscaping experience preferred.
• Desire to establish outstanding interactions with guests.
• Integrity, dependability, and adaptability.
• Skilled at multi-tasking with attention to detail, speed, accuracy and organization.
• Commitment to confidentiality.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull minimum 50 lbs.
• Ability to work on site and to stand, sit, walk, and move continuously during shift.
• Ability to work outside in varying temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Operate mowing equipment and mow greens, tees, fairways, rough, bunkers and native grass.
• Perform bunker maintenance, rake, edge and pull weeds; maintain areas around trees, paths and signs.
• Plant and water trees and plants; water greens and assist irrigation heads.
• Maintain course setup, cup cutting, tee cleanup, divot filling and ball mark repair.
• Remove trash and maintain golf ball washer area.
