Job summary

Oglebay Golf Resort in Wheeling, WV, seeks a full-time Greenskeeper eager to learn and grow within a fast-paced hospitality property. You will maintain landscaping around the golf course and support grounds operations as part of Troon.

Beginner greenskeepers are welcome; prior experience is not required. The role requires flexible hours, including extended shifts during golf and holiday seasons, with emphasis on safety and customer experience.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; beginner greenskeepers welcome
• Valid Driver's License required
• English reading and speaking may be required to communicate with staff and read manuals

Responsibilities

• Maintains clean and organized work areas on the golf course and maintenance facility
• Mows greens, approaches, fairways, rough, tees and other areas
• Waters tees, greens and fairways; operates irrigation heads in dry areas needing additional water
• Repairs the irrigation system, pipes and irrigation heads as necessary
• Grades and prepares soil base, lays sod and seeds greens, tees and fairways
• Trims and prunes hedges and shrubbery; cleans flower beds
• Applies pesticides and fertilizer to the golf course
• Performs related duties as assigned by supervisor or manager
