Qualifications

• Groundskeeping, golf course maintenance or related experience preferred.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work independently or in a team.
• Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Willingness to work early mornings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• String trimmer operation around greens, aprons, tees, trees and irrigation components.
• Removes debris, cleans landscapes and weeds beds.
• Assists in cultural practices such as top dressing, verticutting, aerifying, fertilizing and chemical applications.
• Rakes bunkers and assists in bunker maintenance.
• Hand waters areas when needed.
• Maintains fuel and fluids in equipment and returns equipment washed and topped off.

The Greenskeeper 1 is an entry level position that performs routine manual labor on the golf course, performs semi-skilled labor involved in golf course maintenance and construction work; operates small power hand tools; operates walk behind greens mowers.

Duties/Responsibilities:

To include but not limited to the following:

• String trimmer operation around, greens, aprons, tees, trees, irrigation components, etc.


• Removes debris, cleans, weeds landscape beds.


• Assists in cultural practices as in, top dressing, verticutting, aerifying, fertilizing, and chemical applications.


• Rakes bunkers and assists in the maintenance of


• Hand waters areas when needed.


• Maintains fuel and fluid levels in assigned equipment, and returns the equipment washed and fluids “topped off” back to the maintenance building.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Previous landscaping, groundskeeping, golf course maintenance, or related experience is preferred but not required.


• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.


• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team.


• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform physically demanding work.


• Willingness to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed.


• Valid driver's license preferred.
