Job summary

Blue Hills Golf Course, Pearl River, NY, is seeking a full-time Greenskeeper to support our members and guests while expanding knowledge of golf course operations. As an associate of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.

Pay is $18.00 to $19.00 per hour. Responsibilities include maintaining clean work areas, mowing greens and tees, irrigation, soil prep, sod laying, pruning, fertilizing, and supporting grounds projects under supervision.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Highly organized, efficient and detail oriented.
• Ability to design, coordinate, and maintain landscaping on the golf course.
• Ability to operate all tools and equipment related to golf course maintenance.
• Skilled in seeding, fertilizing, mulching and general ground preparation for restoration and renovation.
• Dependable.

Responsibilities

• Maintains clean and organized work areas on the golf course and maintenance facility.
• Mows greens, approaches, fairways, rough, tees and other areas.
• Waters tees, greens and fairways; operates irrigation heads in dry areas needing additional water.
• Repairs the irrigation system, pipes and irrigation heads as necessary.
• Grades and prepares soil base, lays sod and seeds greens, tees and fairways.
• Trims and prunes hedges and shrubbery; cleans flower beds.
• Applies pesticides and fertilizer to the golf course.
• Performs related duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.
