Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance of greens, tees, fairways, bunkers, and rough areas using mowers, trimmers, and hand tools.
Water turf and landscaped areas, operating irrigation systems to maintain conditions.
Rake bunkers, repair ball marks, and replace divots for playability and aesthetics.
Assist in applying fertilizers, pesticides, and turf treatments under supervision.
Operate utility vehicles and equipment safely to transport tools and materials.
Follow safety and operational procedures when using tools, machinery, and chemicals.
Assist with course setup including hole placements, tee markers, and signage.
Perform general landscaping duties: trimming, pruning, weeding, debris removal.
Monitor course conditions and report issues to supervisors.
Support aeration, overseeding, or storm cleanup as needed.

Reports to: Golf Course Maintenance Super Attendant

Pay Range:$13- 15/HR

Job Summary: The Greenskeeper is responsible for the daily maintenance and care of the golf course grounds, including turf, bunkers, greens, and landscaping. This role plays a critical part in preserving the playability, appearance, and overall quality of the course to ensure an exceptional guest experience for golfers.

Essential Functions and Duties:

Perform routine maintenance of greens, tees, fairways, bunkers, and rough areas using mowers, trimmers, and hand tools
Water turf and landscaped areas as directed, operating irrigation systems and hoses to maintain proper course conditions
Rake bunkers, repair ball marks, and replace divots to maintain course aesthetics and playability
Assist in the application of fertilizers, pesticides, and other turf treatments under supervision and in accordance with safety guidelines
Operate utility vehicles and equipment safely and efficiently to transport tools and materials
Follow all safety and operational procedures when using tools, machinery, and chemicals
Assist with course setup including hole placements, tee markers, and signage based on daily schedules
Perform general landscaping duties such as trimming, pruning, weeding, and debris removal
Monitor course conditions and promptly report any issues with turf, irrigation, or hazards to supervisors
Support special projects such as aeration, overseeding, or storm cleanup as needed

Required Experience, Education, and Skills:

Previous experience in golf course maintenance, landscaping, or groundskeeping preferred
Basic understanding of turf care, mowing patterns, and safe equipment operation
Ability to follow instructions, work independently, and complete tasks with attention to detail
Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including early mornings
Dependable, team-oriented, and physically capable of manual labor for extended periods
Must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs and operate landscaping tools and machinery
Valid driver’s license may be required depending on location
Work is performed almost entirely outdoors, in all weather conditions, including heat, rain, and cold
Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting required throughout the shift
Exposure to chemicals, fertilizers, noise equipment, and moving mechanical parts
Early morning schedule required, with occasional weekend and holiday shifts based on course needs
