Job summary

Max A Mandel Golf Course in Laredo, TX, seeks a Greenskeeper to maintain the golf course and surrounding grounds as part of Troon, a global leader in golf and hospitality. You will join a team that values service, quality, and continuous improvement.

You will mow greens and fairways, water and monitor irrigation, repair irrigation components, lay sod, seeds, prune hedges, and apply fertilizers. A strong work ethic and teamwork are essential in this fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Must be highly organized, efficient and detail oriented.
• Must possess the ability to design, coordinate and maintain landscaping on the golf course.
• Must possess the ability to operate all tools and equipment related to golf course maintenance.
• Skilled in seeding, fertilizing, mulching and general ground preparation for restoration and renovation.
• Must be dependable.

Responsibilities

• Maintains clean and organized work areas on the golf course and maintenance facility.
• Mows greens, approaches, fairways, rough, tees and other areas.
• Waters tees, greens and fairways; operates irrigation heads in dry areas needing additional water.
• Repairs the irrigation system, pipes and irrigation heads as necessary.
• Grades and prepares soil base, lays sod and seeds greens, tees and fairways.
• Trims and prunes hedges and shrubbery; cleans flower beds.
• Applies pesticides and fertilizer to the golf course.
• Performs related duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.
